Versions  4.1.3256 (Windows) 4.1.3257 (Mac): This update includes improved international/regional keyboard handling. Now, during a remote session, you’ll be able to select one of three international keyboard handling options. Choose from host layout, client layout or legacy LogMeIn mapping.

Additionally, this update includes various stability improvements and fixes for Mac and Windows.

With this update the following operating systems are no longer supported:

  • Windows 2000
  • Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)

  1. I am having a problem with two xp machines. The update will not take. I have tried it serveral times to no avail. These are up todate as far as the OS is concerned and free of any virus or malware. Help or advice would be appreciated. I tried uninstalling LogMein and reinstalling it but no luck. An attempt at reinstalling it failed also.

  2. The windows AERO effect is causing me an absolute headache. My desktop requires it (Stardock FENCES), but it can’t work due to conflicts with the LogMeIn display drivers. What should I do?

  3. 3256 on Windows XP clients has Wake on LAN setting turning itself on and off. I just spent some time diagnosing this problem. I am alone in the office so it’s not someone else disabling the setting. Wake on LAN is one of the most-important settings — this bug is high priority, please fix.

  4. I have windows xp and can’t get it to take either despite trying 3 times. I don’t have the time, interest or technical knowledge to do anything fancy, I just want it to work and update like it usually does. Please sort it asap.

  5. I am using Windows XP. This update is not working for some reason. Computer keeps reminding me on startup that there is an update that has been downloaded and is waiting to be installed but it won’t install when I follow the prompts.

  6. The update didn’t work. Error message: Failed to read auto update executable path. error 0x0

  7. I also have trouble with XP. I cant’t get past the update requiored. It says it will expire in 3 days. I hope it does so I can get on with my work!

  8. I also can’t get past the “Update is ready to install window. I am using XP also.

  9. Today I was prompted to update 3256 to 3268, and the link offered for “what’s new” just takes us to the front page of the blog. There is no update for 4.1.3268, only this one. Where can we find out what was added/addressed in 3268? Thanks

  10. It seems that there is no release notes on this version http://help.logmein.com/SelfServiceReleaseNote. Meanwhile, I am totally disapointed about the reactiveness of the LogMeIn team, especially about the comptability between Mac and Windows plugin’s host.
    Funny sentences :

When controlling a PC or Mac from a PC (requires the latest browser plug-in and host version 3000 or above)
When controlling a PC or Mac from Ignition for Windows (requires Ignition version 274 or above)

Look at the first and second one… “from a PC”, or from “Igniton for Windows”.
Don’t you know there are also Mac users ? I’ve been paying for around 40 LogMeIn Pro and I found that unacceptable. REACT LogMeIn ! Go On ! Do want you want, but do something to be at the level of some of your competitors… especially for mapping keyboards between host and client side… just that, I do not demand more…

  11. Why on earth is there no easy way to silently deploy logmein free to my macs under my Central Account? Why not a simple package install instead of a virtually useless .app?
