Support for Windows 8.1 and Internet Explorer 11 (IE11)

  • Launch remote control in any supported browser on a computer running Windows 8.1
  • Launch remote control in IE11 running on any supported Windows OS
  • From any client, control any host computer running Windows 8.1
  • Note: Windows RT is not supported

Enhancements

  • Cryptographic protocol enhancements

Host Fixes

  • Improved handling of the number lock key when using the “Use Legacy LogMeIn Mapping” option during remote control
  • Improved Wake On LAN capabilities when waking Windows hosts

Plugin Fixes

  • Improved color reproduction during remote control
  • Fixed a bug that resulted in failure when attempting to connect a drive during remote control

      Here are the system requirements for LogMeIn Hamachi: http://goo.gl/HKwPek. It does appear that Windows 8 is supported. Are you having a specific issue that we may assist you with? Please let me know.

  1. Hi Ben, I’d just like to second Richard’s comment. I have a bunch of Windows 8.1 Enterprise x64 PCs and a few Server 2012 R2 boxes and Hamachi installs fine, and works after that install, but as soon as you reboot the PC/server you cannot connect through Hamachi to anything from that recently rebooted client.
    The rebooted client shows the remote clients in the mesh as connected with the green dot, but they don’t ping and you can’t do anything through the tunnel. I try disconnecting and reconnecting but that doesn’t help. In fact the only thing that fixes it is to uninstall Hamachi and reinstall – critically without rebooting. I have noted that there aren’t any firewall rules in the 8.1 clients for Hamachi – so I added one but it doesn’t seem to help. Rather iritating!
    Hope it can be resolved soon, I kind of rely on Hamachi for a lot these days, and I really value my subscription.
