Cleaner, Sleeker, Easier: The New LogMeIn Central UI is Here

Cleaner, Sleeker, Easier: The New LogMeIn Central UI is Here

We are pleased to announce the launch of our new user interface for LogMeIn Central. Our goal was simple—to make Central cleaner, sleeker and easier-to-use.

So what notable improvements were made?

Refreshed Look

Based on the great feedback we received, a complete clean up of the user interface was done with you, the customer in mind. Who wants clutter in the way when they’re trying to get the job done?  We think it looks great and we hope you do too.

Navigation

You now have the ability to directly access subpages from any feature on the navigation menu. Access Report Viewer from One2Many, or click to manage your Alerts from Updates — the new navigation allows you to get where you need to go, faster and easier.

Computer Groups

We’ve focused on making Computer Groups more accessible in different views, allowing you to choose the view based on your preference. Select “Show group panel” from your View drop-down and your computer groups will appear in a left pane next to your computers.

For users with a smaller screen who would rather sort groups in the main view, you can select the group you want to view from the “Groups” drop-down.

To check out the new UI simply log in to your account or register for a free trial.  We hope you’re as excited as we are about the new Central.

  1. Love that you guys are always working to make it better. My biggest complaints with the changes are that the group panel is fixed width, it should be resizable as it truncates all my group names; and clicking on a computer name now takes you to remote control, in previous versions this took you to the computer’s dashboard (which is where I go most often). Someone was surprised this morning when I took over their desktop when I only meant to go to the dashboard.

    • I agree with Jon – Please take us to the Dashboard screen instead of directly to remote control.

    • I seem to have narrowed down the search slowness to the browser. In Internet Explorer 8, it’s horribly slow. Chrome and Firefix are MUCH faster. However, some of the hotkey combos that I have to use do not work in them. So I’m stuck with the incredibly slow IE. I’m running Windows XP SP3, if that helps any.

  2. 1) Yes, need to make the columns, etc. resizable. 2) Also, *please* allow us to select multiple groups and/or computers to perform mass actions on (i.e. change subscription, delete, etc.) Thanks!

  3. New interface seems good. I wish profiles could appear as just another group (or expand to multiple groups if the profile contains groups) so I wouldn’t need to switch between profiles so often. Maybe this could be a toggle, too.

  4. I like the changes, but agree with the previous posters who are requesting to go to the dashboard instead of dfirectly to Remote Control.

Also, I would love it if you could give us the ability to set time restrictions on LogMeIn Users. For example, we have third party vendors that we provide access via LogMeIn, but we would love to be able to have their accounts only Active on certain days of the week between certain times of day. Maybe the default would be “24/7,” but to be able to change it to “M-F between 8am-6pm” or something would be awesome.

    Thanks.

  5. Could this change has caused our LogMe IN Central Language to be in Chinese this morning ?

  6. Heya just wanted to give you a brief heads up and let you know some with the pictures aren’t loading properly. I’m not sure why but I feel its a linking concern. I’ve tried it in two different internet browsers and both show exactly the same outcomes.
