    • As near as I can tell, the big differenece is that Ignition users paid $30 while new adopters will get basic remote features for Free. Shouldn't have jumped the gun, I guess.

  5. This announcement leaves me feeling a bit disheartened. It seems to imply that some of the pro features like sound will be available to longstanding ios ignition users, but that's not the case. This makes SplashTop look all the more inviting...

    • If you're a "longstanding ios ignition user" the 'pro' features you mention, including sound, HD video, file management and cloud bank are available to you at no additional cost. Your purchase price of $30 for the Ignition app gets you all of those features.

  9. I just installed the iOS app (version 3.0.720) and Mac Lion application (version 4.0.1940) and can access the file transfer capabilities easily, but when logging into the desktop with the iPhone I see the login screen and only the login screen on the iphone - even after successfully logging onto the desktop (as evidenced by the floating box informing me that the machine is being remotely controlled). The desktop displays my home desktop, but the iPhone still shows the login screen. I'm curious if others have seen this behavior.

  10. Where is the Andorid version... Can someone from LogMeIn please give us Andorid users (who make up a sizable percentage of tablet users now days) and idea when we will see the equivalent of a "Free Remote Control iPad App" for the Android platform? The silence on this is pretty unsettling...

  11. Here we are, nearly 6-months after the triumphant release of the "FREE" iOS app, and no one from LogMeIn has gotten around to addressing anything about an equivalent, "free", Android App to connect to LogMeIn-enabled computers.

Wow... WOW! I guess this is just a lost cause...?

I was holding out hope that someone at LogMeIn would think to themselves, "Gee, maybe we should comment on that or address what the road-map holds on this". But instead, we just get a big spoonful of nothing. Fantastic!

The way I see it, either LogMeIn:

    A) Doesn't have any interest in making a free Android app (because, hey, if you're making $30 a pop when someone buys the app from the Android market what kind of incentive to you have to stop making that money).

    - or -

    B) Simply doesn't want to give anyone any sort of heads up as to there being one coming down the pike (because, you know, much better to just piss off your paying customers - which I am one, btw, not just a total "free-loader" - with uncertainty and let them "hope" something they want might be comming).

Either way you slice it, it's pretty lame to just leave us, loyal users and evangelists of LMI products, to sit here hanging wondering what (if anything) is going to emerge.

I guess now that LMI is a publicly traded company, there's no reason to cater to customers any longer.

Damn shame if you ask me.
